My name is Rosy and I am 18 yrs old. I chose to do the Level 4 Foundation Art & Design Course at Southport College because I was really impressed by the wide variety of materials that were used in the pieces on display when I visited.
My specialism is textiles as I have always been interested in using colours and textures to create different effects. I really enjoyed developing my techniques and skills at A- Level.
I love researching ways that different artists and designers express themselves and then developing these ideas to create my own original images and pieces.
I am keen to come to Manchester School of Art to study Textiles in Practice as your Embroidery and Textiles Galleries are full of really exciting inspirational pieces by your students. I think the broad nature of Year 1 of the course will allow me to further develop all my skills and I would look forward to working in Year 2 with an external partner to put my ideas and skills in to practice.
I am hard-working with a passion for everything that you have to teach me.
